Dear Jesus,
I do love people more than ever since I have met you and your love. But I do not always act on that love. Sometimes I act out of the old sinful nature that crouches like a squatter in my soul. Help me to think through what it really means to love others deeply from the heart. Give me ideas on how to show them love so that through me they will learn how deeply you love them. Help me to search my heart and find ways to eliminate the hate and selfishness that reside there. Give me the purity that grace brings when it reaches a soul once puny in selfishness.
